When shopping at the Berkeley Bowl the other day we found a star fruit. Neither of us had ever tried it but excitedly purchased it because it was the namesake of
Bryan Wong's manga. It took us a few days to finally get around to eating it and it ripened quickly. I read up about it on
wikipedia (it is also called carambola) and found out the proper way to eat it on about.com. Today we sliced it up and tasted it. Between my three housemates and I we did not finish it. It tasted like a fruit but too unfamiliar to commit to. Has anyone else ever tried a star fruit??
